“And without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6, RSV).
Seeking God through trading is a paradoxical concept. On one hand, trading seems to be a mechanized business devoid of spirituality. On the other hand, God is omnipresent and thus would be present in trading.
Since God is present in trading, it is our job to seek His manifestations. Is He hiding in our winnings or our losses or both? It depends what lessons He has to teach us. For instance, if we need to learn to trust God, we may find Him in our winnings. If we need to learn humility, we may find Him in our losses.
Seeking God through trading as our divine teacher leads to spiritual growth. Then every part of our trading can be used for our edification. We need to be studied in God’s ways. We need to be willing to play the role of student, discovering lessons at every turn. Let God turn our hearts into gold.
