creaks . . .
in the wind
–Terry Chitwood
Traders get tired. The weight of trading the market becomes heavy, like Atlas shouldering a planet. Or trading becomes drudgery like Sisyphus repeatedly rolling a huge boulder up a hill and letting it roll back down. Again. And again. And again. . . .
Bigger
What if the bigness of the planet and the boulder symbolizes an enlargement of consciousness—becoming a bigger person? Why is this bigness so hard to carry? It’s because remaining small allows you to be invisible . . . to fit in. For instance, if you don’t become a consistently winning trader, you can remain lost in mediocrity. No one can expect anything from you.
And Bigger
The ancient bridge calls to you: “Make the journey to wholeness. Take a risk; make the crossing.” You reply, “But I can’t carry my boulder with me.” The bridge says, “You don’t have to. There will be a bigger boulder waiting for you on the other side.”
