breath coming
breath going
leaving no tracks
–Terry Chitwood
Our natural breathing is uncontrolled, pulsing in its own rhythm, ocean waves—rolling in . . . rolling out. When we totally relax, we are breathed by our deeper Self, breath waves rising . . . falling, slowing into stillness. Our mind stops.
Feather Breath
When our mind stops while trading, the 5-minute candlesticks appear to slow down. It is almost like we can sense the feather breath of the market moving before the movement occurs, a feather touching the 5-minute bar, gently moving the bar up . . . down . . . or sideways. Hear the market breathing. Feel its pulsing aliveness.
Mirror Mind
When our mind stops, the market movement reveals itself in the stillness, movement reflecting off the mirror of the unmoving mind, resonating sounds of breathing linger in the quiet. If our thoughts intrude, we seek the tranquility in the space between thoughts, until that space widens, allowing the mind to stop again.
Clarity
Sometimes, losing the clarity in the center of the unmoving mind lulls us into sleep . . . into a relaxation so deep that we lose our consciousness, sliding into bliss where we lose our center, seduced by pleasure. The Siren’s call to comfort can lead to us into illusion.
Be Still
Slow down your thoughts until they disappear, leaving no tracks. Follow your breath into the tranquility, releasing control, being breathed rather than breathing, becoming still rather than moving—radiating peace.
