sprays my eyes
coloring them green
Green eyes convey mystery like the song “Green-Eyed Lady” by The Guess Who. The following are some applicable lyrics:
Green-eyed lady, wind-swept lady
Rules the night, the waves, the sand
Green-eyed lady, ocean lady
Child of nature, friend of man
The lyrics describe a mysterious woman of mythical proportions who rules the seas like a goddess. Calypso, a sea nymph, held Odysseus captive on her island for seven years. Though enchanted by her singing, Odysseus remains dissatisfied. Athena petitions Zeus to release Odysseus which Zeus does because Odysseus’s destiny lies elsewhere.
Having green eyes gives us the consciousness to see where our destinies lead. This perceptive ability, a gift from the deeper Self (the ocean), comes with a price—seven years of captivity. This means seven years of struggle, discerning false paths and rejecting them in favor of the true path.
Does this mean that traders need to struggle seven years before they know if trading is their vocation? Yes and no. Since seven is a sacred number implying sacred time which is of a different chronological length for each step of each person’s process, each trader’s struggle would take a different period of time. In trading as in life, spiritual development follows a certain sequence: gift, struggle . . . destiny.
