The Texture of Night
Darkness repels and invites, repelling us when we are afraid and inviting us when we remain open and curious. By entering the darkness and moving through it with intuition and the sense of touch, we experience the texture of the darkness–the warm and cold places, the rough and smooth places, the windy and still places.
Creating Light
As we journey through these dark places, points of light begin to appear. As we move deeper into inner space, the points of light become streaming starlight. Did we create the light by bringing our consciousness into the night? Or was light created spontaneously by our presence in the night? Or are both of these suppositions true?
Drinking Starlight
In any case, our spiritual duty is to drink the starlight, distilled from the darkness by our consciousness, liquid light streaming through our bodies, turning us into luminous beings. We become enlightened . . . though our journey doesn’t end here.
Collecting Seeds
Our spiritual duty is to return to that dark meditative space and pick the starlight in its seed form, like picking berries of light collecting them to disperse them into the world, into all fields of study, into the realms of mind itself.
Liberation
But how can starlight be injected into the dense matter of trading? Descriptors of trading contain words and phrases such as hard facts, concrete reality, bottom line, cutting losses, staying mentally sharp, etc. How do we penetrate the thick concrete of trading? By entering its darkness with a luminescent mind, we discover the encased starlight and we liberate it. By liberating the starlight we discover deeper levels of meaning. We discover the spiritual dimension of trading which generates new insights and expands our consciousness further—for the greater good of the world.
