Tao Te Ching (Chapter 43)
The soft overcomes the hard in the world
as a gentle rider controls a galloping horse.
That without substance can penetrate where
there is no space.
By these I know the benefit of nonaction.
Teaching without words, working without actions—
nothing in the world can compare with them.

Act without Action
Trading with your intuition can feel like trading without action. “By these I know the benefit of nonaction.” Intuition knocks lightly at the door to your mind and intuition’s gentle requests are easily ignored. But “nothing in the world can compare with them.” When you do honor your intuition by listening to its trading advice, it feels like you act without action. Placing an intuitive trade feels effortless.
The Tao “teach[es] without words . . . .” That’s why the Tao uses intuition to communicate with you. And if you’re feeling particularly closed minded, “That without substance [your intuition] can penetrate where there is no space [your closed mind].”
Trade Gently
When trading, it’s important to be “working without actions.” Your trading can become a purely intuitive process. Be gentle with yourself. Let the Tao rein in your restless mind. “The soft overcomes the hard in the world as a gentle rider controls a galloping horse.” Enter your trades like mist drifting through the trees.
